These General Conditions apply to rental and reservation of our
Surf and Beach beach cabins

1. Reservations
Website. You can make a reservation through our website www.surfenbeachstrandhuisjes.nl. Upon receipt of your down payment your reservation will be definitive. You will receive a confirmation by e-mail within 24 hours.
Confirmation. We will confirm your reservation within 24 hours upon receipt. We kindly request you to check this confirmation. In case you haven’t received our confirmation within 24 hours, we request you to contact us by e-mail.
Our confirmation and the authorization of these rental conditions form a provisional lease between addressee (tenant) and sender (landlord). Surf en Beach Youngsters under 25 and pets are not allowed.
2. Rent
Included in the rent (the rent as mentioned at the website www.surfenbeachstrandhuisjes.nl)
Gas, water, electricity and VAT
Kitchen package inclusive of dishcloth, dishwashing brush and dishwasher tab
2 deck chairs and a picnic table.
Not included in the rent
Tourist tax € 1,86 p.p.p.n. (2024)
Linen package (mandatory) € 15 p.p. (consisting of pillowcase, mattress- and duvet cover, beds will be made for you)
Final cleaning € 90,00 (At departure you must leave the beach cabin broom clean and empty the dishwasher. In case you don’t leave the cabin properly, extra cleaning costs will be charged: € 50,-)
Optional:
*Highchair € 10,00
*Child’s bed € 15,00
*Parking license € 20,00 (weekend), € 30,00 (midweek), € 40,00 (week)
Exclusive of (you must bring it yourself)
Towels, bath towels and kitchen linen
We don’t charge any administration costs only a deposit of € 50 cash at arrival
3. Payment
Tenant must transfer a down payment within 7 days upon receipt of the confirmation, to bank account number
IBAN NL54 RABO 0338 9012 72 (BIC: RABONL2U) in the name of Surf en Beach strandhuisjes mentioning your reservation number and name.
As soon as we have received your down payment the reservation will be definitive. In case we don’t receive the down payment within 7 days, your reservation will be cancelled. If desired, you can make a new reservation.
The remaining amount must have been transferred to the bank account of Surf en Beach strandhuisjes six weeks before arrival at the latest.
In case of reservations within eight weeks before arrival the total amount must immediately be transferred upon receipt of the confirmation.
One week before arrival you will get an e-mail with further information. On presentation of your confirmation and your ID you can collect the keys of your beach cabin in beach pavilion “Surf en Beach”.
4. Modification and cancellation
Modification
In case of modifications until 28 days before start of the rental period you may, once-only, pass on a modification free of charge. For a second or next modification, within 28 days before start of the rental period, we will charge € 30 for each modification.
rebooking
You must submit a rebooking in writing. There are costs associated with this. Depending on the period, we will inform you of the costs in writing.
Cancellation
In case tenant cancels a reservation, below costs are applicable:
In case of cancellation from 12 months to 8 months (exclusive) before day of arrival: 10% of the rent;
In case of cancellation from 8 months to 4 months (exclusive) before day of arrival: 25% of the rent;
In case of cancellation from 4 months to 42 days (exclusive) before day of arrival: 50% of the rent;
In case of cancellation from 42 days (inclusive) to 28 days (exclusive) before day of arrival: 75% of the rent;
In case of cancellation from 28 days (inclusive) to day of arrival and in case of early termination of the stay: 100% of the invoice amount
Cancellation before start of the rental period should always be confirmed in writing or by e-mail mentioning your name and reservation number.
Cancellation by landlord
Landlord reserves the right to cancel the lease in case false data have been supplied, which influence the beach cabins negatively.
5. House regulations
Arrival from 03.00 pm. In case you arrive later than 08.00 pm, please call us: +31-(0)6 22809724 or +31-(0)71 40 165 63
On the day of departure you must leave the beach cabin before 10.00 am. In case you wish to leave before 09.00 am, please inform us the night before, before 08.00 pm.
The beach cabins are suitable for max. 6 persons. It is not allowed to exceed this number of persons. In case of violation, we reserve the right to terminate your stay immediately.
It is not allowed to:
• Smoke or burn incense in the beach cabin
• Bring and use own devices such as BBQ, gas heater, deep fryer, oven, baking sheet, infrared lamps and other electric heaters/devices
• Bring pets
• Store goods outside
• To barbecue or light a fire at the beach cabins, by order of the fire department and the municipality of Katwijk.
In case you cause convenience to other guests and/or damage to the beach cabin or inventory, we reserve the right to bar you from the beach cabin.
We kindly request you to avoid noise pollution from 10.30 pm.
Tenant must observe all other regulations, which are included in the welcome folder of the beach cabins.
6. Liability
We assume you treat nature, environment and beach cabins with respect.
The main tenant mentioned in the confirmation, is responsible for the smooth running of things in and around the beach cabin. Breakage/loss or damage to inventory or accommodation which results from use by you and/or other users, whether as a result of acts or omissions of yourself and/or others which stay in the beach cabin with your permission, must be reported by the main tenant at the bar of beach pavilion “Surf en Beach”.
Surf en Beach strandhuisjes doesn’t accept any liability for theft, loss or damage to either property or persons, during or resulting from a stay in one of the cabins, unless it concerns intent or gross negligence of Surf en Beach strandhuisjes or of (one of) her employees.
Surf en Beach strandhuisjes is not liable for service disruptions or defects in services provided by third parties.
You guard Surf en Beach strandhuisjes against all claims by third parties which result from acts or omissions of yourself, other users, your fellow travellers or other persons who stay around with your permission.
Surf en Beach exclusively reserves the right to carry out necessary maintenance to beach cabins or other facilities during your stay, without any right to compensation. Maintenance will exclusively take place to improve the quality of the pavilion and your stay.
7. Complaints
Surf en Beach does it utmost to make your stay as pleasant as possible. In spite of this, you might have a complaint. Complaints must be reported immediately, allowing Surf en Beach to solve them.
8. Other
Dutch law is applicable to the lease. All prices are subject to changes. Obvious errors and mistakes are not binding. These General Conditions of Januari 2024 replace all prior publications.
